Archive issues - how to do it?

Hi,

I have a lot of old issues in backlog and I want to archive them. I don't need them in backlog now, but I do not want to delete them, because perhaps I would need them again. 

What is the best way to remove them from the backlog?  I could not find 'archive option' in Jira.

I would suggest using a label, e.g. "archive" and then edit your Kanban/Scrum board's filter to exclude those issues.
