Are the completed (done) issues permanently deleted at any time or those are always available?

Are the completed (done) issues permanently deleted at any time or those are always available?

When I create stories for our software team I try to describe as many details as possible there but also in most cases I create the confluence page for the feature and try to describe any agreed spec here. 
This is for most cases but sometimes you either forget to add agreed spec or decision to confluence page or simply the small feature will not have the confluence page. 

When the Jira issue (task or story) is completed, it is moved to "Done". 

I'm wondering if those issues that are moved to "Done" are available to see at all times or maybe after a certain time the issue is permanently deleted?

ps. This is not the question about "when are issues removed from the board/list view"

Issues are only deleted if a human deletes them (or the project they are in), there's no automatic deletion.

a short answer: these issues are never deleted, unless you delete them.
