Are there migration issues from 7.6 JIRA to 7.2 JIRA (server instances)?

My work has a sandbox version (7.6 server) of JIRA and production version (7.2 server)? We are updating 7.6 match the production instance with the projects and customization. We are currently working on purchasing the upgrade for production instance.

I have reviewed JIRA documentation and did not see is backward compatibility issues going 7.6 to 7.2; thought I would check with community in case I missed something.

This is for when we develop new projects and need to move it to the 7.2 server (if it has not been upgraded yet).

Any comments and tips or concerns you have found?

There's one migration issue - you can't do this at all.  7.6 is ahead of 7.2 and you can't downgrade Jira systems.

You can upgrade from 7.2 to 7.6, and then use project import to pull in stuff from another 7.6

Thank you. Documentation was extremely sparse.
