As Parent replaces Epic Link, will it work across projects as Epic Link has?

The documentation does not tell us if parent properly replaces Epic Link when the issues are in different projects.

Will I be able to set Parent to an Epic in another project?

We must have bugs/tasks/stories which have no parent other than an Epic that is in a different project. This is because for every major feature, there is often an associated epic in an API or DevOps project.

Hi @Carl Dichter , I assume you are asking about the ability to do this across TMP projects since CMP already supports this. It is a fair question and I think only time will tell. Personally I sort of doubt it given that TMP projects are silos. However, I have heard "hallway" discussions that might suggest otherwise. I will ping some of my Atlassian colleagues to see if I can get an official answer.
