As a global Jira admin, how can I sort the status' for all of my Jira?

I have lots of status' because my users want to name their own status'. Too many to sort manually. It seems like a no brainer for these to appear in color coded order but they do not. 

How can I make it so all "to do" blue status' are below all "in progress" yellow status', which should all be below the "done" green status'?

Where are you trying to do this ordering?  Status generally doesn't have any order, as when status matters, it's usually in isolation.
