Assign tasks to users automatically

Dear all,

When I'm creating  a task at the board of a specific project (in which I can see the to do- in progress-done columns),  I would like to assign automatically the new tasks to the user who has created the task.

Currently I have to do it in two steps: I create the task at the "To do" column, and then I have to enter to every task to assign the responsible of the task.

Do you know how could I assign the task to the user who is creating the task?

Many thanks in advance!

Hi @Toni Arcas

Welcome to the community,

You can edit the workflow and update the transition's post function by adding Assign the issue to the reporter post function. That should do the trick.

Dear Tuncay,

I've edited the workflow and added the function and it works, thanks a lot!

By the way, I've realized that when I check the "workflow schemes" list, I have one different workflow scheme per project, excepting those whose I have copied the type of project when I created. Is this correct? Does it mean that I have to edit the workflow for each project unless I copy the project type when I create a new project?

I don't need so many different workflows...

Thanks again for your support!

for the same type of project, I mean,

Hi, I'm that it helped.

If those projects are using different workflow schemes but using same workflow, you don't need to do anything.

But if they are using separate workflows, you need to do the same a ton per each workflow.

Please let me know if I am missing anything.

Kind regards
