When connecting ChatGPT Business to the Atlassian remote MCP server, Confluence integration works as expected, but Jira integration does not return any results. After various trials, chatGPT reported the following, for a Jira-only Atlassian MCP custom connector:
“search action not found”
i.e., Atlassian remote MCP should expose a Jira search action (getJiraIssues or equivalent) so ChatGPT can surface Jira data, which it doesn’t.
I have opened a support ticket regarding this, but I'd like to know if anyone else is experiencing sth similar, or how you managed to connect Jira to your company's chatGPT.
Thanks!
Hi @Georgia Maniati ,
Won't be much of a help here as I haven't worked that much with MCP, but I would just like to 'redirect' you to the MCP forum discussion group: Atlassian Rovo MCP Server
Folks from Atlassian and fellow customers are a bit more engaged there when it comes to MCP questions.
As that's a discussion group, it doesn't have an option to 'ask a question,' but you could still start a discussion in the form of a question (that's why I cannot just move this question there).
Cheers,
Tobi
Thanks @Tomislav Tobijas .
The issue was resolved after I enabled the Atlassian-ChatGPT Business integration in Developer Mode, which became available a few weeks ago.
