We use Jira Server 8.1 and curious whether anyone has successfully automated ticket level security.
We have set up various security levels and update each ticket as they come in with the relevant security which is tedious and open to error.
If you have discovered any better ways of doing this so there's no reliance on someone to remember to update that would be amazing.
I have used JSU an app that you can setup rules on your workflow to apply security on issue creation. You can also use automations. As for watchers I have used the Jira Watcher Field in the past which would allow you to add individuals to the watcher field which would sync with the Jira watcher field. The app is no longer supported so there is not way to do that anymore. You would have to add a multi-user picker and add users to that to get them access.
