Hi,
Our version number is simply an incremental number e.g. V155, V156, V157 etc and to save time and more importantly, to stop us forgetting to do it, it would be great if the fix version number is automatically set on a bug/story when the status is changed to done. Please advise how we can set this up?
It is likely that we would only have 1 version that is unreleased, however in the future this may change. Setting the fix number to the only unreleased version would work for now.
Also, is it possible to automatically create the next fix number when a version is released? e.g. V155 is set to released and V156 is automatically created?
Thanks in Advance.

You can create automation that will meet your requirements.
Regarding first question you can create automation simmilar to following:
Regarding your second question you can create new Version after releasing existing one using rule simmilar to following. This rule will create new version in pattern V155, V155_1, V155_1_1 - so you need to change that rule to meet your pattern V155, V156, V157 - I believe you can accomplish it using some kind of text manipulation. Later today if I will have some time I will try to create such rule for you.
Best regards,
Piotr
Well already corrected. The proper second rule should look like this:
BTW. To create automation rules you need to be Project Administrator. To create one just click Project settings -> Automation -> Create rule.

Piotr
