This might be a big ask but I am looking into creating a way in confluence to automatically create a page in an existing confluence space from a template, create a epic in a existing project, and a new project container. I would also like to have it when the project epic I could specify it's fields (summary, description, and custom fields). The idea I have would involve a form to fill out where you give required information
What do you think would be the best/easiest way to do this?
Hi @RR ,
Let me get this straight, and please correct the following order, if it's not correct:
To who, or where do you give this form to fill out? What fields are in that form, and where it exists?
Thanx,
Alex
I think creating the confluence should come first, followed by the epic (for a portfolio of projects), and then the actual project container itself. My idea was that it would be on a static confluence page that anyone that normally makes projects would have access to and the fields would be information like
1. Name of Project (Which would be the project summary for the portfolio of projects)
2. Project Key
3. Description
4. Acceptance Criteria
5. Customfield_10003 (A paragraph custom field)
6. ETC.
Maybe only certain fields are required? Maybe even track the url of what just got created to make a link to all that just got made.
This is a lot but I am unsure what I should look into that would point me in the right direction of what to use, whether it be html, javascript with html webhooks, or even something native in jira I managed to gloss over. I want to learn, but would also like to know what to learn.
Many thanks
