Automatic Move Mother Issue Status

Is there a way to automatically move a mother issue to a status if its sub-task is moved?

Example:

Mother issue statuses - To Do (Currently set), In Progress, Done
Sub-task statuses - To Do (Currently set), In Progress, Done

So if the project manager moves a sub-task to In Progress, is there a way for the mother issue to automatically move to In Progress also?

Hi @Andrew Q.  - As Ansar says, you can do that with JMWE - it's an excellent tool and I use it myself. But it's an add-on and costs money.

Another alternative is Automation for Jira which is now free and comes with the Cloud version. You would be able to do what you want with that tool also.
