Automatic reindex to be re-enabled after the upgrade?

The doc above suggests to disable the automatic reindexing for the upgrade.

Does anybody knows if this change needs to be reverted after the upgrade, or the automatic reindexing needs to stay disabled forever?

Anyone notice that if you use the flag with the latest Jira 8 upgrade, it'll keep prompting you to do a full reindex...even AFTER you do a full reindex?

Hi @Schups , 

this setting is only for post-upgrade tasks as its name implies:

1. upgrade.reindex.allowed=false

So you don't need to worry about changing it - it can stay like this as it only affects upgrade operations.
