Hi all, recently started my journey in Jira.
I need to automatically create tasks in Jira from a table in Confluence. For example: I have a table in Confluence, tasks in Jira have already been created for it using the existing fields. When I add a new row to the table in Confluence, the task should automatically be created in Jira.
Is it possible to do this? Thank you for your attention.
Hi,
Is it possible to automate the creation of issues in Jira on a recurrent basis based on parameters (date & frequency) specified in Confluence?
Regards,
Cecilia
After you have added the row to your page, select some text in your new table row and you will see a small pop-up dialog appear:
Click Create issue. A new dialog will show up that lets you specify the essential fields to transfer to the new Jira issue:
Note how only summary and description can be filled out automatically. But also that you can create all issues at once from the table (create multiple issues from table) and - if you have an issue link to an epic on your confluence page - you can immediately link the newly created issues to that epic.
Hope this helps!
