About 1-2 months ago some of our JMWE post functions stopped working as they used to. We have been trying to fix it with no avail!
What it used to do: The post function was supposed to close one ticket and then create another ticket type, update it and then pop it open for the user to work on immediately.
What it does now: The post function was supposed to close one ticket and then create another ticket type, update it and ...then nothing. The user has to search for the new ticket and then they can work on it.
What I want to fix: I want the post function to pop open the new ticket.
The Code: I have put the post-function below and the part that I think is failing is in red.
Notes:
1) I have tried different browsers and it does not matter, chrome, FF or IE all no longer popup the new issue for the user.
2) There are never any error logs or error messages - even though it is not working.
Hi @Jessica Schmor ,
Good day, I am Reshma from the Appfire support team.
We have created a support request SUPPORT-98519 on your behalf to better track your request. Please access the support request and let us know if you face any issues with access.
Regarding the issue, the option "Automatically navigate to the new issue" works only if the issue transition is taking place on the View Issue screen. Please let us know if that is the case.
You have mentioned "The post function was supposed to close one ticket and then create another ticket type", from the screenshot shared, we see with JMWE only the issues are being created. Please help us understand how the below is implemented.
The post function was supposed to close one ticket
For our further analysis, please share a screen capture of the issue and provide us with your instance URL on the above-referred support request.
Best Regards,
Reshma
unfortunately I was unable to duplicate your problem. When I tried to setup similiar scenario I saw a description of the "Automatically navigate to the new issue" option.
At the end of the transition, if the transition was triggered from the View Issue page, the user will automatically be sent to the new issue.
//Note - I have been redirected to the newly created issue even though I move it via Board.
Are you transitioning the issue manually?
Would be possible to try in some sort of TEST project?
Tom

No we are not doing it manually.
We have three projects with this code that have worked for over 4 years and all stopped working at the same time.
the new issue is created and linked and we can find it - but it does not pop open for the new user to work on without going and searching for it.
