Automatically change assignee on transition in jira from another "people" field

We have a custom field "implementor" that we record as part of our change control process.

The ticket gets assigned to customer for review.

Currently the customer is aksed to edit the Assignee field on transition.

Can we automatically set assignee=implementor on transition?

JIRA Misc Workflow Extensions Plugin has a post function Copy Value from Field to Field to do this:

Maybe I should open a new question, but an ideal use-case for us would be to perform an LDAP query and assign based on the result of OU or other filter.

Without using a screen, via an add-on is not the only way, is it?
