Hi can anyone help?
i need to be able to automatically transition a workflow from one status to another when the time to SLA has been reached.
The SLA is configured from a time/date custom field so will automatically start counting down when the field is populated and the issue created.
I then need the workflow to transition from 'in progress' to 'alert' as soon as this SLA breaches. how would i do this?

Do you need this for Jira Service Desk or for Time to SLA app?
You can set an automation rule to trigger a transition for this event.
