Automation - How to add an epic to a type of issue?

To develop my question : can anyone help with the making of an automation that would automatically add a given epic to all given types of issue?

Hi there, 

Are you looking to add the "epic" as a parent of the standard issues? If you can elaborate on what exactly needs to be done, that would be helpful. 

Here are few things which you can explain -

1. Where exactly you would like add the epic? maybe a screenshot will help. 

2. have you already created an automation rule, if yes, can you please post that rule here?

I think these questions will help us answer your question.

Whenever you ask for help with an Automation Rule it will help us to help you if you provide:

1. screen images that show your entire rule.

2. screen images showing the details of the step(s) that aren't generating the result you expect.

3.screen images showing the Audit Log details for the rule execution.

4.screen images showing the relevant data in an image that is part of the rule execution.

These questions are not for not willing to help, but to have community members learn on how automation works.

Not just to provide a full solution, which would not help to understand what the automation is doing, but to have members understand what a rule is doing, if in need of change or error.
