Hello,
the field "Request participants" is automatically filled with a sender address. However, I do not want this.
I have found some suggestions for solutions, but they have not helped me. Now I have found the possibility to create "Automation".
I would like to prevent the "Request participants" field from being filled automatically. But I can't find an option to simply say "Empty field" or "Don't fill the field" in the trigger. (see screenshot)
Am I missing something? Would be grateful for any help! :)
How is your Request Participants field getting set? Could you just disable that set?
If not, you may instead use the More Options > Additional Fields in the automation rule edit action to clear the field with JSON. Please look here for information how to do that:
Best regards,
Bill
Hey Bill,
actually, the field should never be filled. But since 2 or 3 days our support mailbox address is automatically filled in.
I haven't found an option how to deactivate this field completely.

I found this post which describes someone succesfully removing Request Participants with automation rules:
And, I checked the documentation and I do not see an obvious way to disable the addition of new request participants once people start forwarding the issue to other people. As you are a site admin you may want to submit a support request to Atlassian to learn if this is possible: https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/
When you hear back, please post what you learn so the community can benefit also. Thanks!
