Hi,
I've set up multiple boards: one Team Board and individual boards for each team member.
What I want to achieve is this: When I assign an issue to a specific person—let’s say Anina—on the Team Board, the issue should automatically be cloned onto their board with individual Tasks. This is important because I plan to create multiple boards with individual Tasks in the future, so tasks should automatically appear on the assigned person's respective individual board.
I tried setting up an automation rule:
Funnily enough, when I was testing it with my own individual task-board - I'd succeeded. So I've simply copied the same rule and only changed the Assignee and the target URL (=the Board's name). Unfortunately, I keep getting the following automation error:
Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks!
Hi Dorota - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Just for clarification, you don't create issues on boards. Boards are just a view of the issues in your Jira instance. You create issues for Projects and Issue Types, then they appear or boards based on the filter used by the board.
Having said all of that, there is no reason to clone the issues as the same issue can show on multiple boards (for the reason mentioned above). So when you create the ticket on the team board, it should show on the individual board for the assigned user depending on how you setup the filter for the board.
Hi @Dorota
You could see the same behavior on the active sprints screen - and you can filter it on a person(let’s say Anina). Just remember to start your sprint.
Hope this helps.
Thanks
