Automation for JIRA - give access to Restricted issue (Team managed Next-Gen)

  • Board setup
    • Team Managed
    • Issue Type Restricted Administrator + Custom Role
  • What I want
    • Automation for Jira to update the issue Due Date when transitioned
  • Problem
    • ERROR: Actor does not have permission to view one or more issues, or the issue was deleted (please check permissions and issue security levels)

Found this similar question in Jira Work Management, but it only offered a work around of using another user

Is it not possible to have Automation for JIRA access restricted issues?

I cannot add the user to a specific role with access to the issue as it does not show up in the search user field.

Hi @ヴァリエンテ フロリアン_Florian Valiente_

The post is still up to date if there is a security level on issues.
I would recommend to create an account only for such purpose which can be added to the security level and then it will be able to edit/transition issue as necessary.
