Automation when a field first gets a value

I would like to set an automation trigger when the sprint first gets a value.

ie it goes from blank to something.

I have tried using fieldchange in JQL but can not get it to accept a value.

How is this possible?

Hi @David Younger 

What problem are you trying to solve?  Knowing that will help the community provide better ideas to try to help.

In the automation rules, changelog does not support the Sprint field, so I believe you could only check for a field change of Sprint, but not that it was previously empty.
