Avoid Timeout / HTTP 502 on Rest Plugin long opertions

Hi!

We have developed a Plugin (REST) in order to perform some operations.

Those operations takes a lot of time and there is no way to split those in smaller calls.

After two minutes JIRA is responding with a HTTP 502 but I can see the Thread running on the server.

Is there any way to bypass that limitaion?
