Backlog suddenly Empty

The backlog board on my projects seems to have no issues when there are issues that have the assigned status = Backlog.  

If I look in All Issues and filter to see all items that have a status = Backlog I see that there are 748 items.  When I go to the Backlog board I am not seeing any of these issues.

I have ensured that there is a status tied to backlog.

Hi @Jackie Moyse-Parkes and welcome to the Community!

On the general tab of your board configuration, you should find the board filter, that is pulling the issues into your board. It seems very likely that this filter somehow excludes the issues in the backlog status.

If so, update that filter to make sure you are pulling in those issues too.

Well, I can't believe that I didn't think to look there.  Thank you so much for the easy fix!
