Backup failing with the following error

dtmitcam December 20, 2019

Errors

  • An exception occurred backing up: com.atlassian.jira.exception.DataAccessException: org.ofbiz.core.entity.GenericDataSourceException: SQL Exception while executing the following:SELECT ID, groupid, FIELDTYPE, FIELD, OLDVALUE, OLDSTRING, NEWVALUE, NEWSTRING FROM PUBLIC.changeitem (Out of memory.; SQL statement:<br/> SELECT ID, groupid, FIELDTYPE, FIELD, OLDVALUE, OLDSTRING, NEWVALUE, NEWSTRING FROM PUBLIC.changeitem [90108-185])

This error is coming up when I attempt to backup my data on Jira. Looks like the last 3 days worth of backups are corrupt

Hello @dtmitcam ,

In the error you posted there is a mention of "Out of memory", indicating that this should be resolved by increasing the heap memory allocated to the instance.

Check out the following KB article with steps to do this, and pointers on the tuning the configuration:

Earl
