Base URL with port

I don't have access to my machine's port 80 so i decided to run it on another port and it work fine except for generated links.. 

current base URL config is something like 'example.com:11111' but the links are missing the port and just have example.com in their generated name. How can work around this on use a custom port.

I don't know if this is relevant or not but i am running in docker and behind nginx

When I include a port in a base url, I see it in the links it sends out in emails and obviously in the internal urls where it points to iteself.

Could you tell us what "generated links" you mean?
