Beta Jira and the death of the quick filter

Bruce Chalupsky August 7, 2018

Oh, the quick filters are there, albeit buried which is exactly what you want out of a quick filter.  It takes two extra steps to find your quick filter, and if you use them for stand ups like every office I've worked at, they're kind of essential to save the team's time. Instead of click the filter to the current dev who is speaking at the stand up, now you 1.click on a carrot (^) 2. scroll down until you find the filter you found so useful for years, then 3. Click the filter.  Adding easily a full minute to the stand up of the team silently watching you wrestle with the UI.

Quick Filters are one of the good ideas, Atlassian.

The big announcement today that the new UI is on its way made me check in again, and there they are (^) every (^) where(^).  They didn't (^) get (^) rid (^) of (^) a (^) single (^) one (^). Never mind the Lean product mentality of using beta for customer feedback, bah! We'll make 'em eat these Carrots! (^)(^)(^)(^)(^)(^)(^)  Waterfall will rise again!
