Big Picture Gannt tasks duration calculation (Start Date - End Date)

Hello, 

In our client's instance we would like to automatically calculate our End Date based on one of our custom fields. This field is a numbers field which is serving as a rough estimation of days that the particular task would take to finish. 

Therefore:
Start Date = Start Date
End Date = Start Date + number of days from this custom field 

Is there a way how to achieve this in Task Configuration?

Currently, you can calculate a task end date automatically based on Time Tracking fields. Find more details in the article: BigPicture tutorial - Dates synchronization and on our wiki page.

You can map the End Date to the Original Estimate field. Then the result will be s you expect:  End Date = Start Date + a number of days from this Original Estimate Field. 

Regarding your question on the ability to map End Date to a custom numeric field, it's not possible at the moment. However, this functionality is already in our backlog.
