1. Is the scenario planning feature available only at Project levels? Or it can be enabled at Program/ Portfolio level as well?

2. When we add and save some project in Scope definition screen, it seems to disappear when we check after a while and then starts reflecting back after a few hours. So my question is that that is this syncing process and how much time it is expected to take? We are using Cloud JIRA here.

3. In The timeline view, the Portfolio highlighted is rolling up the timeline in the Gantt view but that dates remain static as they were when the portfolio was added. Is there a way where the dates too would roll up and update at portfolio levels?

Scenarios on Portfolio level.
Currently, the functionality is available at a Project Box level. However, this is a very interesting question. Could you please share with me more details and the expected outcome? Thank you. 

Performance/Synchronization with Jira
Performance issues that occur may be dictated by many different factors, some of which are difficult to diagnose. Please bear in mind the cloud architecture also assumes that the users have a reliable and fast connection which is crucial for a comfortable browsing experience and a reasonably powerful workstation to handle the workload.

There is room for tweaking the plugin settings, which may be an interesting option to consider. BigPicture Sizing Guide.

If you feel that our plugin is slowing down your instance, we will need additional information and possibly go through a couple of troubleshooting steps. In this case, please get in touch with our Service Desk, providing us with your instance base URL. 

Parent box dates calculations
Please have a look at the functionality: Box start/end dates can result from its sub-Boxes. Do the mechanism and result described in the ticket meets your expectations?

We were expecting to do Portfolio Scenario planning by looking at dependencies etc. It dosent help if we cant it at Program/ Portfolio levels.

We are not using the client/server application. The question is for the Cloud instance. And the issue is that the scope we define for a Project and save it, shows as if it got saved but even when we browse back to it after a few days it stays blank.

We tried the auto-bottom up and it has not worked for us yet in the Cloud instance.

Thank you for clarifying. We do understand the validity of such functionality. Therefore we added your request to the planned features.

You can follow the functionality development works in the feature request ticket ONE-36728. Please note that it is best to open it in the incognito tab of your browser.

Performance/Synchronization with Jira

We would like to investigate your case individually.

Therefore I would like to ask you to raise a ticket via our Service Desk, providing us with more details (like base URL). This will allow our product specialists and developers to investigate your instance and plugins on time.

The functionality was introduced in Big Picture 8.1, released a few days ago. Please retry and let me know if the new functionality meets your expectations.

Performance/Synchronization with Jira issue has resolved and now the Scope is getting saved successfully in Project Boxes..

 

We are progressing well with the Big Picture Enterprise currently and have one more question:

Is there an audit log available in Big Picture similar to what we get in JIRA? I cant seem to find it yet in BP.

I am really glad to hear that you don't experience performance issues more.

When it comes to audit logs, currently extracting is possible only from an error token pop-up. However, we are working on the new functionality that will allow downloading audit logs from the app's Technical Configuration. 

You can follow the functionality development works in the feature request ticket ONE-25836. Please note that it is best to open it in the incognito tab of your browser.
