Hi everyone,

Yesterday I created a Scrum-type Project from another existing project with this menu:

The cloned project appears with this sidebar:

Anyone knows why, if everything is cloned from one to another, I don't have backlog and sprint in my new one? :)

Thanks in advance

Hi Raquel,

You need to create a new board for this project in order to see Backlog and Active Sprint section. Because the new project doesn't have a board when copied. You can navigate your existing board from search icon.

Tansu is right. Also, you don't have an automatically created Board when you create a JIRA Project using an existing configuration.

Does anyone know why a "new project" feature would land you in a state where you can't actually do anything with your new project, rather than the obvious thing of setting up a board that shows all of the open tickets with the new project prefix (the first thing that everyone who uses this feature will do)?

Alternatively, why not start with the same board settings as the original project, but just adjust the ticket filter that backs it?
