Good afternoon,
We are beginning a project which has requirements that are / could be shared across two different teams. Ideally, the goal is to have one master project to monitor the overall activities. However, there are at least two distinct teams that will be working the same set of requirements. The teams are geographically remote from each other. I know I can create separate boards within the project to reflect the work the two teams are responsible, but the two teams are not in sync for Sprints. Can a sprint be created in each board that is unique to that board?
Suggestions for managing are welcome!!
Thank you!
Misty
If you are using a Classic project, you can have multiple boards and multiple parallel sprints running independently. That will allow the teams to start/stop sprints on when they are ready. Please see this documentation for more information:
https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/use-parallel-sprints/
If instead you are using a Next-Gen project, you cannot have multiple boards for one project. You would instead want to consider separate projects for each team, and consider how to reflect any shared work that both teams contribute towards.
Best regards,
Bill
