Bonfire can't start in IE 8.0.7601.17514

Chelmer December 6, 2011

Hi

I'm using Internet Explorer 8.0.7601.17514 and install the 1.6.2 Bonfire plug in. The installation seems successful and no complaint, however when i click the bonfire icon in the tool bar and a blank page was show in the left hand side of my current opened internet explorer. No exception/error page has been prompted. While i try to use FireFox and install the plug in and it was working fine. Anyone can help me with this as i use IE more often than Firefox. Cheers

Regards,

Anthony

You may have same problem I have, caused by bug in Bonfire for IE:

There have been a few improvements to Bonfire since this question was asked - does the latest version still have these problems in that specific IE version?

I have tried to using a new tab, restart the computer and try again. Every time the side bar doesn't show up anything in IE of that version.

While i tried the plugin in other computer with IE 8.0 but different patches release, it works.

Does this happen every time you open IE, or was it a one-off problem?

Also, does the sidebar work if you open a new tab? I've seen that fix sidebar problems in IE before.
