Bugs showing up on my Jira Portfolio Plan

Monte Kingstone May 4, 2020

I created a portfolio plan and on my timeline bugs are showing up.  How do I remove bugs from showing upon my timeline?  I am sorting by Epic and can't figure out why bugs are now showing up.  Thanks in advance.

Hi @Monte Kingstone

To exclude an issue from a plan:

Excluding an issue from a plan in Portfolio for Jira will remove the issue from the plan. However, the issue will not be deleted from the Jira instance.

  1. In the scope table, click the checkbox for the issue.
  2. Click Exclude from plan.
  3. In the confirmation message, click Exclude.
  4. Commit the changes back to your Jira Software instance.

Thank you for your reply.  The bugs are showing on the timeline (with the epics) but they are not showing up in the scope section (the epics and user stories only are showing up there).  I don't see a hierarchy menu.

I found out from another post that the hierarchy might have been the issue. I did not have permissions to look at this.  Once I put a ticket into our Admin team, they refreshed the hierarchy in portfolio and the bugs dissappeared from my timeline.  In case anyone else ever has the same issue.
