Bulk Cloned. Now I can't delete issues.

I created a new project in Jira.

I successfully bulk cloned over 1,000 issues from an old project to a new one.

Now I need to delete some of the ones that are done or don't apply to the new project. However, it will not allow me to delete the issues that I cloned.

Why? I need to delete about half of them.

Thanks for any insight or direction on this one.

P.S.  I am an Admin

Hello,

Have you tried checking your permissions on the project to see if you have the project role of Administrator? Have you checked the permission scheme for that project to see what the Delete Issues permissions are set to?

I would look in these two spots first to see if you're missing permissions there. As an extra step I could add myself with those permissions for the short time of deleting the issues then removing that permission when I'm done.

I hope that this helps.

That worked!  Thank you.

@Maryellen Russo @Heather Ronnebeck

I find that you were able to Bulk clone 1000 of Issues from one Project to another successfully. Can you please tell me how you achieved this? We are looking for something similar and we have Epics, Story, Tasks etc.
