Bulk Delete Components and Versions in any Jira Project

Is there a way(scriptrunner, groovy etc.) to bulk delete all the components and versions of any Jira Project. Deleting it one by one is almost impossible when you have 100s of components and versions.

I am sure it can be done by Jira API. You can give a try in that route.

Attempt to delete using API method. Requesting once takes 10 minutes to return success. I'm not sure if it's due to the large amount of data in our system version number or if the corresponding interface is so slow
