Hello, Again, Community:
I am leaning on your tremendous expertise once again. I have created a Jira Work Management project and I have bulk-created new Jira issues from an Excel-extracted CSV file. The resolution efforts and annotations are being done via the Excel spreadsheet and not directly in the Jira Work Management project.
I want to export the newly-added comments in the Excel spreadsheet into the existing Jira Work Management issues. I've read some previous community posts about this; these posts mention needed to include the existing Jira Issue Key in the CSV import file along with each comment that is to be added to the key-referenced issue in a separate CSV column.
Can someone please confirm if there is an existing, validated process for this? If there is such a process, can you please provide the steps?
As always, my continued "Thanks" to this amazing Community.

Hi @John Tucci
Please look at the this KB Article At the bottom you will see an example of a csv file format for comments.
Hello, @Tim Perrault :
I really appreciate your quick and very helpful response. I've read the linked KB Article and will undoubtedly read it a few more times. I will proceed with a couple of trial comment imports. I'm likely to have some follow-on questions, but I'll do my best not to pester.
My sincere "Thanks" for the information.
Regards,
-John M. Tucci

Hi @Tim Perrault :
I worked through the process and was able to get the comment import process to work, but the comment text did not get imported into the referenced Jira issue. I have reached the point of diminishing return on this, so I don't expect to pursue this any further.
As always, I fully appreciate the knowledge and generosity of this excellent Community, and I look forward to the day when I can contribute solutions instead of questions.
Regards,
-John Tucci
