Bulk update Jira stories from CSV

Hello! I recently moved 300 stories to a new project in Jira. This new project has different fields than our original project, so I'd like to bulk import the missing data to these new fields. For example, our original project had "Application Name" and we are mapping these now to "ASV Name." I have a CSV file with the follow columns: new project Issue Key and the new field values.

Can someone please tell me how to edit these stories at once to add the information to the new fields? Thank you!

Hi @Abby O_Connell

if you already have the NEW issue key in the CSV and you do map it in the import wizard, it will make the magic. Existing issues will be updated during the import. You should see something like this in the wizard:

Just remember that you also need to have the Summary in the CSV since it's mandatory during the import.

I also suggest to test it with a bunch of rows before doing the full import just to be sure that the mapping of all fields is correct.

Hi @Abby O_Connell

Atlassian has documented how to import information via CSV.

This documentation can be found here

I hope this will help you to import your required information
