Bullet formatting issues with Slack messages being sent with Jira automation rule

Hi, I am using the Fix Version description field as a smart value which is if not mistaken a text only field.  If the description contains, for example:

Here is a list of points to highlight for this release:

This is point 1.

This is point 2.

Is there a way to format these points in so that they appear like this in the Slack notification:

Here is a list of points to highlight for this release:

• This is point 1.
• This is point 2.

I've used (#, *) as suggested but that does not seem to work.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Hi @Keith Vedol 

I have not sent a message to Slack from a rule for a while, so I suggest looking at the bullet syntax for Slack...and then split your issue description on new lines and iterate, adding the bullet indicator to the front to see what happens to the Slack message.

Looks like from what I've read and tried, I have to add the actual bullets manually which is fine for now.
