I am trying to import issues using CSV file
During import it asks me to map the fields, there I don't see 'status' field for mapping
Is there any way we can configure these fields?

I think you're using the 'Import Issues from CSV' feature rather than the 'External System Import'. You want to go to Admin -> System -> External System Import -> Import from CSV and use that tool. You cannot map status from "import issue from CSV". If you want to map statuses use "External System Import"
