We have created an account for the express purpose of reporting that (at the moment) only needs to access search results in CSV format. Our admin gave it "Browse Projects" permissions only, as we do not want this account to have permission to create or change issues. An API token has been generated for this account as well. The CSV is being accessed via the URL "https://...atlassian.net/sr/jira.issueviews:searchrequest-csv-currentfields/<filter-id>/SearchRequest-<filter-id>.csv". When I try to use the account's credentials in Power BI, it will not connect (mine work fine, btw). The question is, are "Browse Projects" permissions sufficient to access this service, or do we need to add something?
that permission should be enough to read issue data unless you have some crazy issue level security.
Thank you for confirming that! As it turns out, we had several problems at once. It looks like the same account somehow got registered twice. Once we figured that out, I just had to add the account to the Project being queried. Thanks for the quick reply!
