CSV import: Creating the issue as child issue to Parent

Dominic Roy Arokiaraj October 1, 2024

When the CSV import is performed the newly created issue of type Task is showing as Linked issues to the parent issue rather than Child issue to the parent.

The mapping goes as follow:

Issue Type -> Issue Type

Parent -> Link “Parent”

Summary-> Summary

Issue Id-> Issue Key

Actual Result:

Expected Result:

Check if you have the issues in csv in the correct order, based on theirs hierarchy.

Hi @Dominic Roy Arokiaraj  Welcome to the community!

@Manoj Gangwar It worked after series of attempt. below for reference what I did

CSV Screenshot

Map fields.png

For the above CSV & mapping I got the issues added with  Parent and child association. As I am adding the Epic along with the task.

Now adding another two task under the same epic

Test Task 3 and 4 add as task in the project

then I mapped as below

Now the task added to the parent Epic

Now I can add the task as child to the existing parent Issue
