Call soap call by clicking on webItem

I would like to send a SOAP call if the user click on my WebItem which found in the issue.

I tried to add the soap call into a page which opens on clicking the webItem, but it doesn't worked.

The SOAP requests in Jira have been deprecated additional details can be seen in the developer documentation at:
