Can I automatically add User Y as Watcher iif the issue is assigned to User X

Can I automate setting a user as a watcher whenever an issue is specifically assigned to another specific user?

Do you have Automation for Jira? If so, this is fairly easy to do.

Where would I see whether I have Automation for Jira (I'm guessing that I do not)

Navigate to your project settings and then check to see if you have "project automation" underneath there.

Figured that might be the answer, I do not see anything there
