Can I change the menu highlight colour in Jira 7.10?

We upgraded to Jira Software Server 7.10.2, which has a clean new UI, but the highlight colour is dark red, which makes the dark text invisible to colour-blind people.

Examples of where this is a problem is in any menu selection, and in the type-ahead when creating an advanced filter.

I raised a suggestion under https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWSERVER-16707 to change this.

Is it possible to change this colour in the current product somehow?

You can play around using LOOK AND FEEL option and change colours.
