Good morning community,
I performed a massive bulk action on 10000 issue. This action updated the "Updated" field. I would need to restore the value that is currently saved in the "Resolution" field.
Is it possible to perform any action?
Hi @Giuseppe Barnaba ,
welcome to the Atlassian community!
That operation is not possible using builtin feature.

Hi @Giuseppe Barnaba and welcome to the community,
Nope, that's not possible. Update date is a systemic field and it hold the value of the date to which the issue was last time updated. I don't think it's possible to change it.

The Updated field is updated with any action listed in the history tab. I am not sure if it can be restored even with a database change...
May I ask why you need to restore to the resolution field? The date stamp for when the issue was resolved is in the history tab, so do you have some query connected to it or something similar?

Yes, it is. The "Updated" field is linked an a query.
I'll modify the query with "resolution" field instead of "updated" field.

You would have to do this by editing the database, but you'll find that fails as the updated date is recalculated from the last update made to the issue in a lot of cases.
Why do you want to tell lies about the last time an issue was updated?

Hi Nic,
the issues have been moved from a closure status to another.
This transition was supposed to be transparent but it caused a mismatch of an important field for my query.

But the updated field is telling you when the issues were last updated, right?
