Can I keep the old JIRA UI for good?

JIRA keeps automatically switching us to the new JIRA UI every few weeks. My whole team hates it bc it is not as easy to use and performance is far worse than the previous UI. 

Can we change some setting to permanently be on the old UI?

Unfortunately no. The old is slowly being permanently phased out.

Do you know if they are doing anything about the performance? The lag time is tough to deal with, especially when working quickly between multiple issues and Confluence pages.

I haven’t noted any performance issues that I could attribute to the new UI. if You are seeing performance issues i would certainly open a support ticket and have them investigate your instance.

The UI and performance are different questions.  The new UI is technically slightly faster, but not enough for most of us to see any difference. 

But, please raise your performance issues with Atlassian as Jack says.  They need to know where their stuff is not working for you.
