Best way is to view the screenshot. Is there a way to move the Sprint field, or any field (custom or system) to be above the tabs without using plugins? See screenshot
No, Jira Server/Data Center does not allow you to move fields up to the top section of the detailed issue view.

But darns! I was trying to find documentation on what kind of fields are allowed to be there at the top, or is it only just those main 6?

It's been a while since I used Jira on Server/Data Center but i am pretty sure that those fields that you are seeing right now are the only ones that can be at the top.

So you might not be able to do this based off of your permissions, but I believe this is possible with all Jira products. You should be able to edit the issue detail view.

@Nolan McConnell that article only applies to Jira Cloud not Jira Server/Data Center and only for the detailed view when viewing the issue from a board.
