Can I provide a drop down of a specific issue type under the custom field linked issue?

Hello,

I have an issue type called "Requirement". I want to link only issue type called "requirement" with the "requirement" issue type. Hence under the drop down of linked issues, I want only the list of issues of requirement issue type to be displayed for the issue type requirement.

Is this possible?

Unfortunately, JIRA does not have this functionality although it was already requested in the past: 

- Add ability to restrict issue types of issues for an issue link type

Since the feature request did not meet the number of votes to be considered, I recommend you to use one of the add-ons below to achieve your need:

- Extended Schemes for Jira
