Let's say we have 2 boards: A and B.
When A changes a ticket status from X to Y I would like for a new ticket to be created in board B. Is this possible?

yes, automation functionality can help you with this. Boards only visualize data from projects, so you need to figure out, to which project exactly you need to create the issue, so that it shows on your board B. And also in which project the transition from X to Y needs to be done.
