Can I use a single atlassian-connect.json file for both Jira Cloud and Confluence Cloud?

Hello, I am developing a cloud application for one of client of ours.

They would like to have this application run in Jira Cloud and Confluence Cloud and it is important for this app to share data between the two.

Now my question is, if this can be accomplished by just one atlassian-connect.json module?

Also, if this is even allowed by Atlassian Marketplace apps? (because I have not read this to be restricted)

The descriptor needs to be different for both apps, i.e. you need 2 atlassian-connect.json.
