Can I use alias or "rename" a JIRA field.

Hi,

I would like to know if it is possible to rename the "Component" field name in one specific issue type?

The name can be "MyTest" to say something.

But with JQL, I would to keep "component" and search on "MyTest".

Extra question. If it is possible, can I limit which component I want to display in the list?

There's no way to rename a field for a single project - the system is designed for consistency, not being inconsistent.

For the limiting of the list, yes, remove/disable the components
